Family Weekend is all about connection—bringing students and their families together, sharing a little college life, and creating memories along the way. Charmed Haven loved being part of that celebration with UNT’s Chi Omega chapter during their Family Weekend brunch.

More than 50 Chi Omega sisters and their families gathered at the chapter house, and Charmed Haven brought along one of our favorite interactive experiences: a Bag Tag Charm Bar.

But this event wasn't just about creating something fun to take home. It was also about fundraising for Make-A-Wish.

Shopping That Gives Back

The Family Weekend brunch also showed how an interactive Charmed Haven experience can become a fundraiser without making the event feel like a fundraiser.

Families were already together. They were visiting, shopping and creating keepsakes—and a portion of the purchases went toward supporting the chapter's fundraising efforts for Make-A-Wish.

With approximately 50 sisters plus their families participating in the weekend, the event helped raise hundreds of dollars while giving families something memorable to enjoy together.

And the fundraising didn't have to end when we packed up the Charm Bar.

Chi Omega sisters and families were given an additional online shopping window after the event, allowing those who couldn't attend—or who thought of something else they wanted later—to make a purchase that could also count toward the chapter's fundraiser.

Fundraising Doesn't Have to Feel Like Selling

That's one of the reasons we love this model for sororities, schools, nonprofits and community organizations. Instead of simply asking supporters to buy something, give them an experience.

A Charmed Haven fundraiser can combine:

an interactive activity + personalized keepsake + shopping + giving back

Your organization chooses the occasion and fundraising purpose, and we can help create an experience around your group.

Depending on the event, that might include a Bag Tag Bar, Bracelet or Charm Bar, Paracord experience, seasonal bar, or other personalized options. We can also explore colors, charms and branded or licensed elements that help make the experience feel like it was created specifically for your organization.

Make It Personal to Your Organization

The Chi Omega event is a great example.

This wasn't simply a generic Bag Tag Bar dropped into a brunch. The Chi Omega charm and chapter colors made the experience immediately recognizable as theirs.

That same idea can work for many kinds of groups:

Sororities and fraternities, school organizations, booster clubs, nonprofits, community organizations, employee groups, alumni organizations and other groups looking for a more engaging way to raise money.

And because guests leave with something they selected and personalized themselves, the fundraiser creates a tangible reminder of the organization and the event.

Bring a Charmed Haven Fundraiser to Your Group

Thank you to UNT Chi Omega for welcoming Charmed Haven into your Family Weekend brunch and allowing us to meet so many sisters and families. We loved seeing what everyone created—and we especially loved being able to help support your fundraising for Make-A-Wish.

If your organization is looking for a fundraiser that's interactive, personal and fun, we'd love to help you create one.
